HELLENIC PARLIAMENT...

Athens City Center, Greece

The Hellenic Parliament building is an evolution of the palace of Otto (architect Friedrich von Gaertner). The building was constructed between 1836 and 1843 and is a landmark in the history of architecture in Greece. The study of the restoration of the facades is a holistic approach to the problems that have arisen over the years. With the proposed interventions in the building, its original splendor and monumentality will be restored. The unique marble elements that make up the propylaea and the arcades that surround the building will be systematically preserved with respect for their authentic material and form.
