RESTORATION OF THE ROMAN THEATRE OF NICOPOLIS

The Presentation of Nicopolis roman theatre combines a restoration and several actions so as to create an interesting and safe environment for the archaeological place. Exhibition places are inserted in the  cavities of the monument  and a network of visitors paths.
The Main target of the restoration study was to prevent further demolitions and  stabilize or restore some of the destabilized parts. This study needed a detailed record of the monument, so a 3d scanning and traditional methods have been combined so as  to understand the causes for the recent situation.
